Haunted School in Wisconsin: My Terrifying Night with Ghosts
Last summer, my friends and I decided to explore an abandoned school in rural Wisconsin, rumored to be haunted since a fire in the 1950s claimed several lives.

The Eerie Investigation Begins
The school loomed under a moonless sky, its windows shattered and walls charred. We crept inside, the air thick with dust and a sour chill. Our footsteps echoed in the empty halls, where faded posters hung like ghosts of the past.
My friend Sarah swore she heard a faint giggle, but we brushed it off as nerves. Then, in the old gymnasium, my flashlight caught a shadow darting across the bleachers, too small to be human.
Unsettling Sights and Sounds
We froze as a child’s laughter rang out, sharp and hollow, from the darkened corridor. My heart pounded as I led us toward the sound, finding a classroom with desks overturned.
On the chalkboard, scrawled in fresh chalk, were the words “GET OUT.”
None of us had touched it. Jake screamed, pointing to a window where a pale, eyeless face stared back, its mouth open in a silent wail before vanishing.
A cold gust swept through, carrying whispers of names none of us recognized.
Panic and Escape
The air grew heavier, like something was pressing against us. Footsteps pattered behind, mimicking our own but stopping when we did.
In the boiler room, my flashlight died, and a low moan filled the darkness, sounding like a child in pain. We bolted, tripping over debris, as the laughter followed us to the exit.
Outside, we gasped for breath, swearing we’d never return. My photos from that night showed orbs of light and a faint figure in a doorway, chilling proof of what we’d faced.
A Haunting That Lingers
