Orang Pendek is Indonesian for “Short Person” but it’s actually a cryptid
Orang Pendek (Indonesian for “short person”) is the name used to in regards to a cryptid, that reportedly inhabits remote, mountainous forests on the island of Sumatra and possibly elsewhere.
Sightings of the Orang Pendek have been documented for over 100 years by tribes, locals, Dutch colonists, Western scientists and travelers.
The animal is described as a ground-dwelling, bipedal primate that is covered in short fur and stands between 3 and 5 feet tall.
