Delusional yoga instructor turned cult leader of The Family

Anne Hamilton-Byrne was a delusional yoga instructor that transformed herself into a leader of a cult know as “The Family”.

She began to convince people she was the reincarnation of Jesus Christ, though her teachings were far from in line with the Christian religion. Instead she taught a twisted religion based on New Age beliefs, Hinduism and Eastern Mysticism.

This documentary covers how with her husband Bill, she fraudulently took custody of numerous children, through adoption scams as well as by those born to other cult members and then raised them as if they were her own.

She was so creepy that she isolated everyone, dressed the children in matching outfits, dyed all their hair blonde and allegedly beat, starved and injected them with LSD.

Thankfully the children were rescued by police in 1987, but their trauma endures to this day.
