Air Force Admits UFO Mystery: 432 Unexplained Sightings in 1952
On the day of multiple UFO sightings in Chemung County, the Elmira Star Gazette published an article updating the Air Force’s position on UFOs.
The Air Force acknowledged that while no definitive evidence confirmed or denied the existence of flying saucers, several unexplained sightings persisted.
Consequently, the Air Force committed to ongoing investigations. By August 1952, they had recorded 432 UFO reports that year.
